Below are answers to frequently asked questions. If you have a question that isn’t answered on this page feel free to send us an email email@example.com or give us a call (707) 263-3374.
Q: What is cannabidiol/CBD?
A: Cannabidiol(CBD) is an organic compound that comes from the leaves, stalks and flowers of industrial hemp or cannabis plant. It is the most widely accepted non-psychoactive cannabinoid found in cannabis. CBD oil should not be confused with marijuana even though they both come from cannabis; we extract the CBD oil contained in Natural Serum CBD products from industrial hemp.
Q: Is CBD oil legal?
A: CBD oil and other hemp-extracted products are perfectly legal to be used and sold within the United States. The growing, processing, and selling of hemp extracts – including cannabinoids from industrial hemp – is possible through federal regulation within Section 7606 of the Agricultural Act of 2014 which the U.S. Congress passed and signed into law.
Q: What makes hemp plants different from marijuana plants?
A: Hemp and marijuana essentially come from the same plant family, cannabis sativa. The main difference between the two is their level of Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) – the illegal, psychotropic cannabinoid. According to the Agricultural Act of 2014, the Obama Administration describes legal hemp plants as containing less than .3% THC which also makes cannabinoids extracted from hemp, such as Cannabidiol (CBD), legal as well. Natural Serum products have 0% THC!
Q: What is “Full Spectrum Extraction?”
A: Full Spectrum extraction is a process that allows preservations of valuable terpenoids, essential oils, amino acids, and other beneficial cannabinoids.
Q: Will I need a marijuana card or doctor’s prescription to use Natural Serum products?
A: Not at all – Natural Serum legally operates in full accordance with the Federal Hemp Law. Our products categorize as hemp dietary supplements which are legal to be purchased anywhere in the U.S.
Q: Will using CBD oil show up on a drug test?
A: If you are ingesting CBD hemp extract for health benefits it is very unlikely you will fail a drug test. Most drug tests look for THC compound in your urine or bloodstream and the regular hemp plant does not contain enough THC to trigger a positive result on a drug screen; however, we are unable to legally state whether or not one of our customers will pass a drug test for any of our products.
Q: Will using CBD oil get me “high?”
A: Because CBD is a non-psychoactive component from industrial hemp, it doesn’t have any elements of Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) that is familiar with cannabis; therefore, there’s no “high” effect as a result of using CBD.
Q: How will CBD affect my body?
A: CBD affects the body by triggering the receptors of the endocannabinoid system within your brain and nervous system. These receptors regulate various body parts and systems – results may vary based on your purpose for using CBD.
Q: How long does it take to feel the effects of CBD?
A: CBD effects can usually take up to 30 minutes depending on the dosage. Because there are no psychoactive ingredients with CBD oil, there is no “high” effect; however, a significant decrease in symptoms – reduced pain, calming sense, etc. – should be noticeable. Again, results are dependent on your dosage and purpose for using CBD.
Q: Are there side effects of CBD?
A: Any side effects of CBD are insignificant at best – nowhere near as relevant as those side effects from pharmaceutical medicines that are approved by the FDA. A small percentage of CBD users have reported minor abdominal discomfort or mild sedation. Again, this a very small percentage of users.
Q: Can I combine CBD with B17?
A: Yes. We aren’t aware of any adverse side effects when combining B17 with CBD; however, because each body is different start by taking smaller doses of each and work your way up to higher dosages as needed.
Q: Is it possible to take too much CBD at once?
A: The short answer is no. However, you should be cautious of taking higher milligram doses until you understand how your body will react to CBD. CBD dosage will vary from person to person.
Q: How much CBD should I take?
A: Legally, we are not able to give medical/ dosage advice for our products. CBD does affect everyone differently, so the product and dosage that works best for each person highly depends on the individual and their needs. We always recommend starting small and seeing how CBD affects you and then going from there. The following is more info on how much CBD is in each dropper of each tincture.
Because each person’s body and health condition are unique, it is difficult to set a predetermined dosage that is right for everyone. For severe symptoms, we recommend a higher milligram dosage, while milder symptoms will not require such a large dose. As always before starting any supplement we recommend a consultation with your doctor or health care professional.
Q: How much CBD is in each tincture?
A: One full dropper is approximately 1 mL.
- 300mg = 10 mL per dropper*
- 600mg = 20 mL per dropper*
- 900mg = 30 mL per dropper*
- 1,200mg = 40 mL per dropper*
- 1,500mg = 50 mL per dropper*
Again, because each person’s body and health condition are unique, it is difficult to set a predetermined dosage that is right for everyone.
*These are approximations and are to be used only as a general guideline.

Q: What is the difference in your tincture products?
A: All the tincture products contain the same ingredients but have varying milligrams of CBD per bottle. This of course changes the milligrams per serving based on the tincture strength selected. We recommend higher milligram products based on the severity of your symptoms. If your symptoms are mild, then 300mg is a great place to start. Moderate symptoms may require 600mg. 1200mg is for more severe symptoms.
Q: What’s the proper way to store CBD products from Natural Serum?
A: We suggest storing our products in a dry, cool area with no direct exposure to constant light or excessive heat.
Q: Can you vape the tinctures?
A: We DO NOT recommend vaping our tinctures, as they are not made to be inhaled.
Q: Are there side effects when giving my dog/cat CBD?
A: There should be none as long as the suggested serving allotments are followed. If too much hemp extract oil is given to a dog, then temporary drowsiness may occur. Additionally, too much oil, not hemp extract, can cause dogs to have an upset stomach and potential diarrhea. Stick to the recommended serving sizes to ensure a happy pup! We recommend that you consult with your veterinarian.
